Having been inter-breed champion at Bucks County Show, native champion at Blakesley Show, second at the national show at Royal Three Counties and champion at Westmorland Show, it sold to Mark Lowther, Tring.
The champion from the pre-sale show, Whitby Dracula, from Louis Stainthorpe, North Yorkshire, sold for the next top price of 1,500gns to the judge, Allen MacFadden, Co Down, in partnership with Colin and Adam Gregg, Ballymena.
Top price female through the ring was 1,400gns, for Graham and Judith Galbraith's Graylen shearling ewe which was unshown before the sale.
By Yarcombe Hero and out of a Wilstrop ewe, it sold carrying twins by Thornfalcon Odysse to Elaine Dalgleish, Dumfriesshire, who paid 1,300gns for another shearling ewe from the same home. The female champion from the Galbraiths made 1,200gns to Donald and Anne Henderson, Inverness.
The winning ewe lamb from Adrian Rundle's Treworthal flock, Cornwall, also made 1,400gns. It passed out of the ring unsold, but later found a home with David and Denise Middleditch, Suffolk. The Treworthal flock also sold a senior in-lamb ewe for 1,300gns to R.K.G. Farms, Kirkcudbright.
The first prize ram lamb by Eastfortune Furlough from Lorna Vever's Chapelhill flock, made 500gns to D. Bell and Sons, Lockerbie.
