Pendle Tiger, a March 2023-born son of Hallfield Panther out of Pendle Ocus, consigned by A.M. and E. Hartley, Nelson, sold to Ian Wainwright, Cupar.
Next at 16,000gns was January 2023-born Faughanvale Tornado from O. McGinness and family, Co Londonderry. By Drybarrows Cawdale out of Castlerench Delia, a former Balmoral Show breed champion, it was knocked down to Frank Page, Elkington.
Making 14,000gns was Brennand Thunder, a May 2023-born bull by Mae Owain out of Brennand Ola from J.C. Walker and Son, Dunsop Bridge, which went home with Messrs Carr, Hexham.
From the same home was Brennand Tetleys, the first of two bulls which made 12,000gns. The February 2023-born son of Blak du Baty D'Eprave out of Brennand Gin, sold to Messrs Cruickshank, Elgin.
The other bull to make 12,000gns was the male and overall champion, Solwayview Taran, an April 2023-born son of Boherard Overdose out of Solwayview Katie, from Maulscastle Farming, Annan. The buyer was Jonathan Hall, Buxton.
Tipladys Tonka, an April 2023-born bull by Black N Blue Diesel consigned by Richard Tiplady, Barnard Castle, made 10,000gns when selling to R. McKenzie and Sons, Inverness.
Females
Females sold to 6,500gns twice. Firstly, for the overall reserve champion, Faughanvale Taylor, a February 2023-born heifer by Blak du Baty D'Eprave out of Faughanvale Ellen from Messrs McGuinness, which was knocked down to Gary Bell, Lockerbie.
The other heifer at 6,500gns was Stonebyres Treacle, a May 2023-born daughter of Stonebyres Ninja out of Stonebyres Monalisa from Blair and Shona Comrie, Stonebyres, which sold to Nick Parker, Silsden.
Averages: 26 bulls, £7,824.60; 1 calf at foot, £3,360; 9 females, £4,981.66.
