Avon and Somerset Police said some of the sheep stolen were believed to be Suffolks

Police have initiated an investigation into the theft of more than 50 sheep from a farm in Somerset.

Avon and Somerset's Rural Affairs Unit said 56 had been stolen overnight between Tuesday (September 19) and Wednesday (September 20) from a farm off Middle Moor Drove in Woolavington.

The sheep stolen are believed to be Suffolk, Border Leicester and Cheviot breeds.
