Drugs bust leads to lamb discovery

Three people have been arrested after 10,000-worth of Class A drugs and a lamb were found in a car in Scotland.

Two men, aged 52 and 53, and one woman, aged 38, were charged with drug offences after police discovered the stash of heroin and cocaine when the car was pulled over on the M74 just outside Glasgow.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said the drugs were located with the help of police dog Billy, who along with officers appeared baffled by the discovery of the lamb.

The force said in a statement: PD Billy entered the car and indicated drugs were present. Officers recovered heroin, with an estimated street value of 7,000 and cocaine, worth an estimated value of 3,000.

The lamb is currently being cared for by a local farmer and police are investigating how it had ended up in the car.
