Banana Bread

You can’t beat a classic banana bread. It is a great one for the youngsters to get involved with, even if it is their first time baking. Whether it be the classic recipe here, or mix it up once baked by adding toppings, banana bread is the best in any cake tin!

Banana Bread

You can't beat a classic banana bread. It is a great one for the youngsters to get involved with, even if it is their first time baking. Whether it be the classic recipe here, or mix it up once baked by adding toppings, banana bread is the best in any cake tin!

You will need:

  • 4 medium sized mashed up banana's
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 3oz unsalted butter
  • 8oz SR flour
  • 6oz sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of baking powder
  • 1 extra banana for topping

How:

  1. Lightly grease a loaf tin and preheat the oven to 180 degrees, electric fan.
  2. Beat the sugar and the butter.
  3. Add in the flour, eggs and banana and mix well, along with the baking powder and salt.
  4. Pour in to the tin and slice the banana and lay on top.
  5. Bake for an hour to an hour and fifteen depending on your oven.
