ANDROID Skipping Scout mobile app available now
Originally launched in 2019 for Apple iOS platform, Skipping Scout mobile app now available for android users.
The app has been built specifically for android users with a new interface.
The app aims to speed up crop-walking using automated scouting and reporting technology. Connecting to the operators drone, the app enables the drone to fly to the point of interest. Capturing a full field overview and any close up images of the selected crop, the app will then give the operator a description of the location and reports on crop health, issues and growth progression.
As the app was initially developed for Apple iOS users by agricultural software specialists Drive Ag, since 2019 the app has continuously been developing since.
Drone Ag founder Jack Wrangham said, “By introducing Android, we have been able to design new features such as creating field boundaries. Android devices are also far cheaper than Apple which will enable more users to access the app at a lower price using existing phones, tablets, or computers.”
The Android version has introduced new features to the app which include the ability to share crop data, through the dashboard system or directly one device to another.
Skippy Scout to new members starts at 50 a month. However, if an existing user the android version can be downloaded for free and will be added to their current subscription.
