MASSEY Ferguson has introduced three upgraded combine models. The three-model straw-walker range covers the 260hp Activa 7344, 226hp Activa 7343 and 185hp Activa 7342.
All models share a drum and concave threshing system, following with five straw-walkers.
A 600mm-diameter, 1,340mm-wide drum with eight rasp bars is used in the threshing system, with electrically adjusted front and rear concaves.
The Multi Crop Separator, available on all models, is used for improved separation while preserving straw quality.
MF has claimed this increases separation up to 20 per cent and has the ability to rotate the additional concave out of work when not in use.
Improvements have been made for ease of access to clean the combine, even in tough conditions. The modular grain pan which is also used on the manufacturer’s larger combines, is made of removable, hard-wearing plastic sections.
Grain tank capacities range from 5,200 litres to 6,500 litres, with unloading speeds varying between 72 litres/second and 85 litres/second, depending on the model.
The established Powerflow header design can be used with all models and available in widths from 5.5 metres to 6.2m.
The manufacturer claims it can boost output by up to 73 per cent in oilseed rape, 15 per cent in wheat and 12 per cent in barley.
Equipped with Stage V AGCO Power engines, the 7343 and 7344 use a 7.4-litre, six-cylinder powerpack, with a smaller, 4.9-litre, four-cylinder unit fitted in the 7342.
