Adam Morgan, 24, is from Norwich, Norfolk, and works as a employed farm worker and shepherd at local farms.

A job for life is often the case in farming. It was also a reality for The Queen. Steadfast in her duty, never wavering from the demands of the role.

Welsh Government wants the country to grow more of its own fruit and veg. But will the horticulture start-up grant be enough to tempt farmers to diversify?

Mary Raymond, 19, grew up in Croesgoch, Pembrokeshire on her family farm and is now currently working on the farm between attending the University of Reading, where she is studying agricultural business management.

Phillip Mogford, 20, is from Landkey, Devon. He works on his parents’ beef, sheep and arable farm.

James Richardson is the farm manager at Bishop Burton College. In his monthly blog, James will tell Farmers Guardian about helping to inspire the next generation.

Vicky Haddow, 22, is from a dairy, beef and sheep farm in Lesmahagow, South Lanarkshire.

Ben Gratton, 18, is from a dairy, beef and sheep farm outside of Buxton in Derbyshire. He is currently working on a dairy and arable farm in Shropshire as part of his level 3 advanced technical extended diploma in agriculture at Reaseheath College.

Jasmine Underwood, 18, is from Bruton, Somerset, and works as a dairy farmer in Wells, Somerset.

Caryl Davies, 18, grew up on her family’s farm in Eglwyswrw, North Pembrokeshire, and is also a student at Aberystwyth University.
